  Antiquing

The historical town of Talking Rock was named by the Indians, probably from the sound the water makes as it flows over the rocks in the Talking Rock Creek. Stop by the coffee shop for a dessert and coffee and browse the shops for old and new treasures.

Hiking

A great day trip hike up Blood Mountain, the highest point on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia. Late spring or early summer you may encounter rhododendron, mountain laurel and/or incredible flame azalea blooms.

 


  Canoeing

There are several rivers to canoe or kayak; Talking Rock, Etowah, Cartecay and Amicalola to name a few.

Fall Festivals & Leaf Looking

The festivals start the end of Sept. and go through the month of Oct. It's usually Nov. before the leaves turn. All are within a few miles of here. Book your room early!
